Went to the doctor yesterday. Discovered there were two things out there -- a flu strain and a cold strain. Flu gives you a temp of 104, night sweats, confines you to bed and is usually over in 5 days. I don't have that.
The cold leaves you congested to the point where you can't breathe, can't sleep, makes you feel tired all the time, most medicines won't touch it, and will run 10 to 15 days. That's me. Been prescribed anti-biotics for 7 to 14 days to stop a probably sinus infection and to prevent it from going any further 'cause it has the tendency to lead into bronchitis and pneumonia.
Have used up 5 sick days already. Can't afford to use more. Made it into work today. Really want to crawl back under the blanket and sleep. On the upside, I haven't needed to go outside in the frigid temperatures.
